We always eat together at the table, and i have a rule that there are no phones allowed. I love getting Palmer to help me too! She loves sitting at the island with me while I prepare dinner!

Thanks again for linking up with the Saturday Spotlight!! XO

Growing up, this is what I was used to and we usually used this time to connect with each other and actually talk.

My daughter is really starting to enjoy helping cook and prepare meals. We are guilty of movies during dinner at times, but that’s only on special occasions when we have movie night. We almost always sit down as a family.

My husband (the only one with a smart phone) doesn’t bring it to the table, no reading at the table and respectfully listening to each other talk.

I really want to work on this one. Dinner time is always so perfect for sharing our days and just hanging out as a family. I really don’t want to miss any of it :).

If not, maybe my three-year old would have suggestions for me. :)

Totally agree with technology-free & engaging each other.

I remember my family having dinner every night when I was growing up and I remember I looked forward to it as a child. I notice that when both me and my husband sit down to have dinner with our sons and no one looks at a phone, it’s AWESOME. I love the engagement and we all laugh so much. Thank you for sharing these tips, I’m inspired to start making it more of a habit!

Technology is a biggie. I see it in restaurants all the time. I don’t want technology at my dinner table and it starts with role modeling.

Great post Stephanie!

Thanks for sharing.
