Before my son was born my sewing pins and needles were everywhere when I would sew. I’d stick ’em into the couch, throw ’em on the table… you know how it is. Now with a toddler who finds EVERYTHING I drop, I’ve had to grow up a little when it comes to my sharp craft paraphernalia. This cute little sewing kit in a Mason Jar is super simple to make and doubles as a pin cushion!
When cutting out the circle of fabric, it doesn’t have to be precise. I just eyeballed it. Give yourself enough fabric that when you add your stuffing, you’ll have enough material to properly glue the fabric to the seal.
Once it’s all glued down, push it through the metal ring and it’s all done! I love how the metal ring gives it a really nice finished look.
This makes a wonderful gift for someone. Fill it will some fun embroidery floss, a neat par of scissors… anything. It’s cute, right?
